How we can help

Women's Health Services We Offer

Prenatal Physiotherapy – Having physiotherapy during your pregnancy in order to treat aches and pains in your body which may happen during your pregnancy, such as back pain, neck pain, and hip pain. It is also designed to prevent problems that may rise as the pregnancy progresses.

Postnatal Physiotherapy – This is more focused on your posture, your muscle strength, mobility, and the way you walk. Physiotherapists will also perform checks on your pelvic health, abdominal muscles, and other muscle mobility to ease you back into your everyday life and your original body form.

Pregnancy Pilates – A non-impact workout that increases strength, flexibility, and muscle tone needed for the duration of pregnancy, as well as postpartum. Pregnancy Pilates helps you with your breathing, transverse abdominal strength, gluteal strength, alignment, as well as pelvic floor.

Incontinence – The involuntary loss of urine, a common condition during or after pregnancy. Women may experience different levels of severity of incontinence, some may be mild, for others it may be more severe.

Lactation Duct Blockage/Mastitis – This may result in pain in the breast, anxiety, and frustration, which can result in mothers choosing to completely stop breastfeeding. This is often caused by inadequate drainage of breasts, excessive pressure on breasts (such as tight bra, tight infant carrier straps), dehydration and fatigue, or incorrect positioning and latching.

Breast Cancer Rehabilitation – Breast cancer survivors who have undergone various treatments may continue to suffer from different physical side effects during their journey to recovery. Complications include post-surgical scarring and tightness, soft tissue contracture, decreased movement or function of upper arm, shoulder, upper back and neck region, neuropathic pain and lymphedema.

De Quevain’s Tenosynovitis – A common condition during pregnancy due to fluid retention and changes in hormones. If you have tingling, numb and painful thumb during pregnancy, it is likely to be symptoms of de Quevain tenosynovitis.

Osteoporosis & Osteopenia – It is a condition that develops slowly over years, which weakens one’s bones, causing them to be fragile and likely to break. It is often diagnosed when a fall or sudden impact causes a fracture in a bone. Broken hip and wrist are the most common injuries seen in people diagnosed with osteoporosis.
