Neck, Back & Hip Pains
How can our physiotherapists help?
Neck, back, and hip pain often exist in a complex interplay, where dysfunction in one area can trigger or exacerbate issues in the others. Physiotherapy addresses this interconnectedness through comprehensive assessments and targeted interventions. By evaluating posture, movement patterns, and muscle imbalances, physiotherapists can identify the root causes of pain.
Tailored treatments by our physiotherapists, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and ergonomic advice, aim to restore proper alignment and function, alleviating pain and preventing recurrence across these interconnected regions.

Hip Pain Symptoms, Treatments and Approach
Understanding the Causes and Symptoms of Hip Pain
The hip joints are the largest ball-and-socket joints in our body and it is highly durable. It can withstand repetitive motions and a reasonable amount of wear and tear. When we use our hip for activities such as walking or running, there is a cushion of cartilage which helps prevent friction as the hip bone moves in its socket.
With age and use, the cartilage in the hip joint can become worn down or even damaged. Also muscles and tendons in the hip area can also be damaged by repetitive activities or overuse. Bones in the hip can also be damaged or fractured during accidents or falls.
Symptoms of hip pain depend on the condition causing it and can discomfort can be felt in:
Inside the hip joint
Outside the hip joint
Groin area
Buttocks
Thigh
Additionally pain from other areas of the body such as the groin or back can also radiate to the hip. Hip pain can also affect our range of motion which can also lead to a limp.
Assessment and Diagnosis
In the initial assessment, our physiotherapists can help conduct a comprehensive physical examination to evaluate and understand the underlying cause of your hip pain. These include investigating the patient's history, reviewing physical activities, and testing mobility and movement.
Treatment Sessions
Once the cause of the pain is determined, our physiotherapists will provide treatment to address the cause of the hip pain.
